TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Everyone entering The Brickworks, Burwell must agree to abide by and accept all our Terms & Conditions. You must complete and sign the NEW VISITORS REGISTRATION form prior to visiting. Please note these Terms are subject to change without notice.
Terms and Conditions of Site Access and Use:
Part A) General
1. The term "the site" refers to "The Brickworks, Little Fen Drove, Burwell, Cambridgeshire, CB25 0BN".
2. Terms and Conditions apply to all visitors to the site.
3. All visitors enter the site at their own risk.
4. All visitors entering The Brickworks, Burwell in any capacity do so on the understanding that The Brickworks, Burwell and all related landowners and legal entities accept NO liability whatsoever for loss of life, damage, injury or loss to persons or property whilst on the site.
5. By entering the site you agree to all Terms & Conditions.
6. Any visitor found taking away any wildlife will have their pass revoked and may face prosecution.
7. No illegal drugs to be taken on site. Alcohol consumption should not exceed a moderate level.
8. No motorised or battery powered vehicles of any kind to be driven onto the site without prior agreement of the Site Management. This includes any remotely controlled vehicles or toys.
9. It is the responsibility of every visitor to ensure they and any junior visitors they are responsible for, supply and use the appropriate safety equipment for their chosen activity. For example, walkers should have appropriate footwear, cyclists should wear helmets and whilst boating, visitors should wear life jackets. The Brickworks, Burwell does not supply safety equipment or enforce its use.
10. Gates must be kept closed and locked at all times.
11. Only enter or exit the site through the designated areas.
12. Leave no litter at anytime and take all of your rubbish home. Even if it isn't your rubbish please take it with you.
13. Any unathorised entry to the site must be reported immediately to the site management, either in person or by phoning 01638 744 400.
14. Junior visitors (under 16) must be accompanied by an adult (over 18) at all times on the site.
15. No unauthorised competitions, matches or events to be held at anytime. If you wish to hold an event please contact us on 01638 744 400 or use our contact form.
16. The Brickworks, Burwell reserve the right to refuse admission to any person or to ask you to leave.
17. Officially appointed bailiffs have the authority to suspend, expel or refuse admission to any person whose conduct is deemed detrimental to the interest of the site.
18. Visitors luggage, equipment and vehicles may be inspected at any time whilst on site.
19. No wading or swimming.
20. No unathorised use of any vehicles owned or not by The Brickworks (e.g. boats) of any kind on the lakes or in the grounds, this includes remote controlled vehicles. If you wish to use any vehicle please contact us.
21. Visitors are forbidden to light fires including BBQ's.
22. Visitors are forbidden to cut trees or branches or reeds.
23. The volume of speech, instruments and radios must be monitored so as not to disturb others.
24. Visitors are forbidden to take guns or weapons of any kind onto the site.
25. Wildlife and nests must not be disturbed. Please observe the country code.
26. Any disciplinary decisions made by The Brickworks, Burwell and the Site Management will be final.
27. There maybe seasonal changes of access due to weather conditions and conservation etc. Signs will be posted and must be adhered to.
28. Only 2 people per rowing boat owned by The Brickworks, Burwell at any one time and only if usage authoirsed and paid for in advance. Please return boats to their original position i.e. where you found them.
29. Bookings must be made in advance of visiting.
31. No unathorised removal of any property belonging to The Brickworks or related companies. All theft and vandalism will be reported to the police for prosecution. Please note that CCTV is in operation at all times.
30. All Rules are subject to change at anytime without notice.
31. Due to the wild nature of the site appropriate footwear (i.e. walking boots) must be worn at all times and care should be taken when walking on the site due to the uneven ground.
Part B) Fishing
1. It is a condition of fishing at the site that a valid EA Rod Licence is held by all anglers including Juniors before fishing.
2. No more than 2 fishing rods to be used at any one time per angler, including whilst fishing from a boat.
3. No fishing rods with baits in the water to be left unattended. Any rods deemed by the site management to be improperly attended will be wound in.
4. No more than one person on each fishing swim platform at any one time.
5. Removal or movement from one water to another of any fish is forbidden.
6. No fish of any kind to be taken away from or bought into the lakes at The Brickworks, Burwell.
7. Except in organised matches, no fish of any kind to be retained in keepnets at any time.
8. Large unhooking mats must be used.
9. The use of lead shot in the sizes number 5 to 0.5oz. inclusive are banned from all waters.
10. No live baiting.
11. There is to be no unauthorised use of fishing bait boats which are only permitted with the agreement of the site management.
12. No multiple fishing hook rigs with the exception of pike traces.
13. The Brickworks, Burwell requests that all catches are recorded and communicated to the site management. This should include fish type, fish weight, catch location and a photograph of the fish.
14. No killing or eating of our fish.
15. Junior visitors must fish the same swim and / or boat as their accompaning adult visitor.
